Our Privacy Core

At PDFMatic, we believe that your documents are your business. Unlike traditional PDF tools that require you to upload files to their servers, PDFMatic processes everything locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

1. Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or have access to any PDF files you process using our tools. The "processing" happens entirely within your browser's memory using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Once you close the tab, the processed data is cleared from your browser's memory.

2. Cookies and Analytics

To understand how the site is used, we rely on two analytics services: Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure page visits, approximate location (derived from your IP address), and device or browser type; and Ahrefs Analytics, a cookieless service that records aggregate page-view statistics. Neither service can see the names or contents of the files you process — those never leave your device. You can block these analytics with standard browser tools (such as content blockers) without affecting how the PDF tools work.

3. Offline Storage

So that the tools keep working without an internet connection, PDFMatic stores its own application files (pages and scripts) in your browser's cache using a service worker. This cache contains only our code — never your documents or any information about you — and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

4. Security

No Uploads

Since files aren't uploaded, there is no risk of server-side data breaches or interceptions.

Private Session

Your browser's sandboxed environment ensures that file processing is isolated and secure.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
